The Japan Educational International Model United Nations (JEIMUN) is an annual model UN conference that brings together students from across Japan and around the world to simulate the workings of the United Nations. Through realistic debates and negotiations, participants engage with critical global issues, develop diplomatic and leadership skills, and foster international collaboration. JEIMUN aims to inspire the next generation of global leaders by offering a platform for young minds to explore diplomacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a diverse and inclusive environment.
At JEIMUN, our mission is to empower the next generation of global leaders by fostering a deep understanding of international diplomacy, critical global issues, and collaborative problem-solving. We aim to provide an immersive learning experience where students can engage in diplomatic dialogue, develop public speaking and negotiation skills, and cultivate a spirit of teamwork across cultures and borders.
Through our simulation of the United Nations, we strive to encourage participants to think critically about global challenges and to inspire them to take meaningful action toward building a more peaceful and equitable world.
JEIMUN was established by Zenmoken1 to provide a fully English-language MUN experience for middle and high school students in Japan. Recognizing the importance of international collaboration and communication, JEIMUN was created as a platform where students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds could engage in diplomatic discussions without language barriers.
The inaugural JEIMUN 2024 was held from January 6–8, 2024, bringing together 176 students from 33 schools across Japan. Although the first conference was limited to domestic participants, it successfully fostered meaningful dialogue and cross-cultural exchange in an immersive English-language environment.
Building on this foundation, JEIMUN 2025 was held from January 10–13, 2025, expanding its reach to include 193 participants from 34 schools around the world. This marked a significant milestone in JEIMUN’s mission to create an international platform for young leaders to engage in realistic diplomatic debates, develop leadership skills, and strengthen their understanding of global issues.
As JEIMUN continues to grow, it remains committed to inspiring the next generation of global leaders through education, collaboration, and meaningful international dialogue.
This section acknowledges and expresses our gratitude to the generous organizations and institutions that provide financial and material support to JEIMUN. Their contributions are essential to the success of our conference and enable us to continue offering a high-quality educational experience for all participants.
Here, we recognize the institutions and foundations that have awarded JEIMUN grants. These funds help cover essential costs such as venue, technology, and logistics for JEIMUN.
We extend our appreciation to our sponsors who provide financial backing, in-kind donations, and services that enhance the overall experience of JEIMUN.
