JEIMUN 2025 Application Requirements
1. Application Requirements
- 15 to 18 years old (junior high to senior high school students)
- Applicants must understand the conference’s purpose and be able to actively participate.
- Agreeing to all attached ‘Terms and Conditions of Participation’ is required to apply.
2. Application Period
Until October 31, 2024
*If the number of applicants exceeds the expected number (approximately 300 applicants), the application period may be closed even before the deadline.
3. Conference format
In principle, a pair (of two) should be in charge of one country, but single participants are also welcome. Teams of three are not allowed in this conference.
4. Number of Applicants
There is no limit to the number of applicants from a single school.
5. Participation fee
- The participation fee is 12,000 yen per person. (Payment must only be made in Japanese yen.)
- For details regarding payment, an invoice will be sent by e-mail to the person in charge of your school after November 1.
- Payment must be received by November 30 (23:59 Japan time). Your participation will be officially accepted after the transfer of the registration fee has been confirmed. In addition, no participation fee is required for chaperones.
6. Chaperones
Chaperones of each school (e.g., an adult faculty member) must escort all students. Students without chaperones are not permitted to participate.
7. Country Assignment List
Please confirm the names and number of registered members on the “Country Assignment List” sent by JEIMUN staff in November.
8. Accommodations
Each school is responsible for its own accommodations.
If your school requires accommodation, please check the box on the application form. JEIMUN staff will send you further information.
9. Dress Code
Please dress in a suit or other appropriate attire for the conference. Schools that have uniforms may wear them.
10. Lunch
Each school is responsible for its own lunch during the conference. There is a cafeteria located at the venue, but availability is limited.
11. Cancellation
As a rule, applications cannot be changed. If you wish to cancel your application due to unavoidable circumstances, please notify JEIMUN staff through e-mail by December 6 (23:59 Japan time). We will refund the total amount minus costs incurred for the transaction.
However, no refund will be made for cancellations after December 7 (00:00 Japan time).
