JEIMUN 2025 Conference Rules
1. Conference Format
- A combination of the Hague method and the Harvard method with local rules.
2. Types of Participation
- Generally, delegates should join as a pair of two to represent one country. However, solo participation is also permitted.
- Groups of three are not allowed.
3. Main Flow of the Meeting
(No need for motions regarding agenda adoption, lunch breaks, adjournment, etc. during the meeting)
(1) Commencement of the meeting
(2) Formal discussions based on the speakers’ list (several countries at a time, as appropriate)
(3) Moderated caucuses and unmoderated caucuses are initiated by Delegates’ motions
(4) Deadline for submitting Draft Resolutions (DRs) is 12:30 p.m. on Day 2
(5) DR deliberation and individual voting on Day 3
- No submission of Working Papers (WPs).
- Front-checks will be conducted on WPs in the afternoon of Day 2.
4. Draft Resolutions (DRs)
- It is assumed that DRs will be prepared in advance.
- Details regarding the creation of DRs will be disclosed at a later date.
- Negotiations between delegates based on prepared DRs are prohibited.
5. NP (Negotiation Paper) & PPP (Position and Policy Paper)
- Delegates from each country are required to submit both NPs and PPPs.
- NPs will be disclosed in advance, while PPPs will not be disclosed until later. The method for preparing both NPs and PPPs will be disclosed later.
6. Awards
- Each committee will be awarded one Grand Prize, two Excellence Awards, and one PPP Award based on evaluations conducted by the front desk team.
