Beginners Conference and Advanced Conference
JEIMUN2027 will offer both a Beginners Conference and an Advanced Conference. Participants can choose the conference that best suits their experience and confidence level. You may also select “Either is fine” if you are comfortable participating in either conference. If you are unsure which conference is right for you, please feel free to contact the JEIMUN Office by email or Instagram DM!
Information on the Beginners Conference
The Beginners Conference is designed for participants who are new to Model United Nations or who would like additional support throughout the conference.
Detailed explanations of the rules and procedures will be provided as needed. The proceedings will also move at a deliberately slower pace, taking into consideration participants who may not yet feel confident expressing themselves in English.
We recommend the Beginners Conference for:
– Students who are not confident in expressing themselves in English
– Students with little or no experience in Model United Nations
– Students who have never participated in Model United Nations but are interested in activities involving English communication
Information on the Advanced Conference
The Advanced Conference will be conducted at a level similar to JEIMUN conferences held in previous years. Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of Model United Nations rules and procedures.
Participants will have opportunities to learn about the rules through materials provided before the conference and preparatory study sessions. Therefore, the Advanced Conference is also open to students with limited Model United Nations experience who are willing to prepare in advance.
We recommend the Advanced Conference for:
– Students who are confident discussing academic topics in English
– Students who would like to challenge themselves, even if they have limited experience in Model United Nations or are not fully confident in their English proficiency
